Are you dealing with any of these cat problems?

– hiding from people
– scared of going to the vet
– scared of travelling in the car
– won’t take much needed medication
– cannot be groomed resulting in matted fur
– vocalisation at night
– following people around
– inappropriate urinating or defecating
– aggression towards other cats, other animals or humans
– maybe bored, got a basket full of toys but never play with them
– obsessed with food
– not interested in food
– destruction behaviour
– any other “weird” behaviour

If you are experiencing any of the above, I want to tell you this…

All these problems can be solved and your cat’s mental health will hugely improve. (And your own too!)

We now know important it is to take care of our mental health to ensure our wellbeing. Gone are the days when physical health being the only indicator of “good cat welfare”. These days, we know physical and mental health are interrelated.

If your cat experiences any of the behaviour issue listed above, they are probably suffering from fear, stress or anxiety. And it will eventually cause physical issues where vet visits (and vet bills) will occur.

Money aside, we all want our cats to be healthy and happy.

For the longest time, people thought these behaviour are “just them being cats”, now we know better, we do better. We know animals also need mental health support and it has become very accessible too!

I have been working as a cat behavioural consultation for 13 years and have helped hundreds of families internationally. Most of them are happy to book a consultation with me and solve the problem together, but over the years, I realise in some cases, consultation might not be a good option.

Here are some examples:

Budget issue: some might not have the budget for this 1:1 experience

Time issue: some just don’t have the energy to do the intense implementation during a short period of time

Not behaviour problem per se: some cases are just not really behavioural problems! But rather a training issue that needs to be worked on over a longer period of time. e.g. anxiety issues – having house guests, going to the vet, taking medication, following people around intensely, vocalisation at night etc etc.

So this is where Maow Club can come to the rescue.
This is a space where cat lovers work on improving their cat’s mental health on an ongoing basis, month after month. Because ensuring our cats live a happy life is not a once-off thing. It’s something we do day in and day out.

Maow Club

The Purrfect Cat Club for (Totally Sane) Cat-Lovers

Our exclusive membership club is the purrfect place for you!

What is Maow Care?

Maow Club is a club for cat lovers to work on improving our cat’s mental health on an ongoing basis. Because ensuring our cats live a happy life is not a once-off thing. It’s something we do day in and day out.
The club is hosted by Alice Cat Expert – renowned cat behaviour consultant, writer & educator.

Why do you need this?

Cat behavioural problems are caused by fear, stress and anxiety. It is a chronic problem globally. There is a lot of misunderstanding that cats do these things because they are “just being cats”. This is totally wrong. Most cats who are exhibiting problem behaviour are suffering in silent. In this club, Alice will teach you how to interpret your cat’s behaviour. So that you can develop a deeper understanding of their needs, resolve frustrations on both sides, & have a closer bond with their feline friend.

But why do I need this?
There are lots of free information on the internet!

Yes, you are absolutely right! But the information on the internet are not tailored to your cat and your family. We hear this all the time, “I watch all the YouTube videos, I try everything, it doesn’t work!” That’s because those techniques might not apply to your situation. Free information cannot replace direct access to professional advice from cat behaviourist.

And there are lots of information on the internet! That’s right! You need time to go through them all to find something that might be applicable to your case. You will save lots of time if you just ask your question directly to an expert!

Also, internet is full of anecdote. In Maow Club, we only provide science-based, non-judgemental and supportive advice so to help you make your own decision for your cat.

Most important: RESULTS! Most of our members achieve results quickly. For those cases that need work over longer period of time, they have a very clear roadmap how to work on the issue consistently, often only for a few minutes a day.

Who is Alice?

Hi, I’m Alice Chau-Ginguene a cat behaviourist, writer, educator, advocate based in Dublin, Ireland. For over a decade, I have worked with thousands of cats and their humans, to educate and to solve their cat problems. When I am not working with cats, I am writing about cats.

I have been featured on numerous media both in Ireland and abroad – RTE, Virgin Media, Newsweek, Irish Times, Irish Independent, Irish Examiner, etc. I have published a Cat Care Guide in English and Chinese during the pandemic, to help tens of thousands of new cat parents around the world who discovered the joy of having cats in their lives during the lockdown.

I am also a Pet First Response instructor and Missing Animal Response Technician.

I speak English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin, and can serve you in all of these languages. I also have Level 1 on Irish Sign Language.

Fun fact: I have travelled 10627.48 km over the years together with my cat Larmlarm when we moved from Hong Kong to Paris, then to Dublin. A very well travelled cat who has travelled with no problem on the plane, on the ship and on the car.

“I’ve been in Maow Club for over a year. I joined Maow Club in order to meet and socialise with other people who like cats and what I found inside this membership is more knowledge about cats and a diverse group of intelligent people, all of whom love cats. I would highly recommend this membership to other cat lovers. It’s the only place where I can talk to such a variety of other cat lovers, who keep different cats in different ways, e.g., I have two rescue semi-feral moggies who go out when they please; some people have very tame house cats. Some people have travelled with their cats”
